003 { Dealing with things like a responsible Jedi

ACTION: LATE EVENING

[Once again, Siri should be sleeping. She’s exhausted enough to. But exhaustion doesn’t stop the nightmares, doesn’t stop her from experiencing her death all over again. It’s not... pleasant, waking with the remembered agony in her chest, her back. She will sleep, eventually. There comes a point where she can’t avoid it any longer. But until she reaches that point, she will continue as she’s been doing.

Which, currently, is running laps through the forest, occasionally taking a more difficult route through the trees. She pushes herself to move faster, leaping from the branch she’s on to another, several trees away.

She’s been trying to stay away from the house as much as possible. It’s not fair to her housemates, and she’d rather keep her nightmares dreams and the emotions caused by them to herself, anyway.

The message has only made everything worse. There will be no leaving Luceti for her. There will be no returning home. Not if she wants to remain living. She’s dead, there. And dead she’ll remain. So her choices are remaining here, in Luceti, or attempting to find a place for herself somewhere else. IF that’s even possible. And it doesn’t sound like it is.

So she’ll have to say goodbye to everyone she knows. Everyone she’s met. Everyone from her galaxy.

Siri pushes herself harder, running through the forest at top speed.]

002 { Another kriffing surprise (or, attack of the hair)

ACTION, AFTERNOON:

[It starts out innocuously enough. She goes for her daily run in the forest much as she always has since arriving in Luceti (excepting, of course, the brief period of time where she was a college professor). It’s as good as any other activity to keep her busy, her mind occupied. So... she runs, occasionally choosing to take a higher path through the trees themselves. Pushing herself as much as she can. Except this run doesn’t go the way it usually does, most days.

MOST days her hair doesn’t fucking catch on a TREE. It’s not kriffing LONG enough to catch on a tree. It is today, though. It catches and she yelps, the force sending her sprawling to the ground. She swears, twists, pushing herself up onto her hands... only to stare in surprise at the length of blonde hair tangled on the tree she’d just passed. Hair quite obviously belonging to HER.]

You’ve got to be kriffing kidding me.

VIDEO, LATER:

[At first, all that’s visible is blonde hair. A LOT of blonde hair. To a sort of ridiculous degree. After the incident earlier, Siri had cut her hair. And cut her hair. And cut her hair. It just... grew back. After a moment, she fights her way free of her hair and frowns at her journal. She looks thoroughly frustrated. She’s in her room in House 46; has been since the second hair cutting.]

So.

Let me guess. The hair is yet another gift from Luceti.

[Alongside the ghosts, apparently. And the shifts, and everything else that has been happening. Great. It’s one hell of a learning curve. Not that that bothers her. She’s used to adapting to situations. But hair. Really? She shoves a handful of it out of her face and glares at it before continuing.]

For star’s sake, tell me this doesn’t kriffing last.

[OOC: Anyone who might be in or around House 46 you can feel free to find Siri barricaded in her room of hair if you want.]

001 { Siri's arrival

[Action: locked to House 46, early evening]

[“Don’t worry so much.”...

One minute Siri was on Azure, dying, DEAD, and the next she... wasn't. She should be. But she wasn't. She was lying on the ground in a forest, of all places. Not a large one, there was a building close by - she could sense its inhabitants, although she didn't pay them any mind at the moment, too lost in the shock of arrival. Of dying. Drawing a sharp, desperate breath (not panicking; Jedi didn't panic. Not even dead ones), she faltered in rising to her feet. The sharp throb of pain in her shoulders; different from what she had been feeling not a moment ago, had her twisting around in an attempt to pinpoint the cause.

All she could do was STARE.]

KRIFF.

[Wings. She had wings. And they were blue. Force, now she knew she couldn't be dead. Unless becoming one with the Force was far stranger from what she'd been told... Not that that HELPED matters any. Or made her any less uneasy.

Or changed the simple fact that she SHOULD be dead. She exhaled unsteadily and forced herself to her feet, her wings flaring and ruffling in mirror to her emotions. Confusion, and the panic she was denying. First things first. She needed to find out where she was, what had happened. Then she could deal with... everything else. ]

CHARACTER

Name: Siri Tachi
Canon: Star Wars
Gender: Female
Age: 33
Wing Color: Dark blue and sky blue

Canon Point: Secrets of the Jedi, her death on Azure
Canon Point Explanation: Part of it’s because it’s the end of her story, and part of it’s because I’d rather have her KNOW that she died. Considering all the absolutely awful and tragic things she has potential to learn about the future in the Star Wars!verse, adding her dying on top of that just seems mean.

History: Born in the year 55 BBY, Siri was taken to the Jedi Temple at the age of two and raised within its walls. As a youngling she was noted for her skill in lightsaber combat. Her... spirited disposition led her to having quite the rivalry with fellow Jedi trainee Bruck Chun. She was fiercely loyal to the Jedi Order. Even the first time she spoke with Obi-Wan, she called him an insult to all potential Padawans, because he was taking a leave of absence. This was, of course, before she was chosen as a Padawan herself. It was prior to her being chosen that she aided Obi-Wan in tracing Bruck’s connection in Xanatos’ infiltration of the Temple.

A few months afterwards, she was chosen by Jedi Master Adi Gallia to be her Padawan learner. The two accompanied Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan on several missions. The first of which was an assignment to the planet Keegan, where they were supposed to collect an infant girl for training and open communication with the isolated planet. They discovered the corruption of the Benevolent guides and, in the end, were able to take the Force sensitive infant back with them to the Temple. Shortly after that, Siri and her Master were contacted by Jedi Master Tahl while looking into the disappearance of Master Noor R’aya. She wanted them to go to Simpla-12 to assist Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. The information Siri’s master uncovered about the case the other Master had been assigned gave her reason to believe that Jenna Zan Arbor was behind Qui-Gon’s kidnapping, as well as that of R’aya. Obi-Wan confirmed that his master was missing, and together the trio infiltrated Zan Arbor’s compound.

At the end of the mission, Qui-Gon was rescued, but Zan Arbor got away with Master R’aya.

It was years into her friendship with Obi-Wan that everything... changed. Their Masters were assigned to be bodyguards for a young boy named Talesan Fry, who had overheard a plot to assassinate over twenty senators, and they brought Siri and Obi-Wan along to Cirrus (as befit their Padawan status). They managed to escape the planet, but the bounty hunter was too determined, so they (mostly) faked a crash on the nearby planet Quadrant Seven. Obi-Wan and Siri were sent with Talesan into the nearby caves, while the Masters went to investigate the nearby settlements. It was during their time in the caves, during their bickering (perhaps because of their bickering), that they expressed their feelings for each other; they decided to put their focus on the mission.

After receiving a distorted comm message from Qui-Gon, they debated on where they should taken Talesan. There was a mention of an uncle on Qexis, but this simply led to more debate between the two teenagers. Eventually they decided to steal a transport to Coruscant, and because of Talesan and his technological skills they were able to bypass the security system. However, they didn’t bypass the anti-theft mechanism. It activated, which made it so that the ship would explode coming out of hyperspace. It was then that Siri and Obi-Wan truly recognized their feelings for one another. The two Padawans agreed to discuss things more after the mission was completed.

There was just one way around the anti-theft mechanism. So Talesan sent out a distress signal, which caught the attention of Magus and his pirates; the bounty hunters' ship used its interdiction field to pull their ship out of hyperspace without an explosion. Talesan gave himself up to protect Obi-Wan and Siri. They reunited with their masters and went to his rescue on Rondai-2. They learned that the bounty hunters had been hired by Passel Argente, who was with the Corporate Alliance; he was targeting his political enemies. The Jedi confronted Magus and his men, rescuing Talesan. Magus, however, fled.

Once Talesan was safe, and after having a talk with Qui-Gon and Yoda about the consequences of Qui-Gon’s love for Master Tahl. They chose to abandon their love, and vowed to never speak of it again. It caused their friendship to lessen, to become comrades as opposed to the close (possibly best) friends they had been previously.

It was shortly after the invasion of Naboo that Siri had a major disagreement with Gallia, which led to her being dismissed as a Padawan, and her leaving the Order. Cutting her hair, dying it red, she joined the slave trader Krayn and took the name Zora. She became his right hand woman. Most Jedi thought she was a traitor, and when Obi-Wan and his new apprentice Anakin crossed her path they thought the same. They were wrong, however. It was part of an undercover operation set up by the Council to overthrow Krayn’s slave trading operation. Anakin, who was captured and made a slave, inadvertently broke her cover, which led to her being imprisoned alongside him. Working together, they convinced the slaves to revolt. And with Obi-Wan’s help from the outside, they took out Krayn and ended his operation. Due to her years undercover, she picked up several habits that were decidedly unusual for a Jedi, habits that lingered in some fashion until her death on Azure (despite her attempts to break them). She was more affectionate, and was known to curse. It made her a little more restless, a little less inclined to listen wholeheartedly to the Council.

With her undercover mission at an end, Siri was welcomed back to the Order.Upon her return, she was made a Knight, and took a Padawan of her own. His name was Ferus Olin. He accompanied her on many missions; evacuating the planet Radnor (a mission that Obi-Wan and Anakin were sent on as well), discovering a plot to rig the Galactic Games on Euceron.

Siri and Ferus, as well as Obi-Wan and Anakin, were sent to infiltrate the Leadership school Andara after the son of a senator went missing. Their apprentices went undercover as students, while Siri and Obi-Wan posed as Queen and King of Cortella considering the enrollment of their children at the school.

Siri and her apprentice were dispatched to rescue Obi-Wan and Anakin from Jenna Zan Arbor on Vanqor. She escaped, and they continued to attempt to track her down, with Obi-Wan and Anakin the primary pursuers. Siri had promised to help Obi-Wan capture Zan Arbor, and she fully intended on keeping her word. So when they traced her to the planet Romin, she and Ferus joined them. Posing as thieves (known as the Slams), they gained entrance to Romin. Siri parted ways with her Padawan, going with Obi-Wan while Ferus and Anakin explored the city. The two Masters met with Zan Arbor and stole her datapad.

That datapad revealed that Jenna Zan Arbor was corresponding with Granta Omega, the son of Qui-Gon’s old apprentice Xanatos and responsible for the murder of Jedi Master Yaddle. So they planted a tracker on the ship, in the hopes that she would lead them to him.

It led them to the planet, Falleen. Zan Arbor and Roy Teda, who had fled Romin with her, were staying in a hotel. Siri took Ferus to investigate, while Obi-Wan and Anakin went to investigate the Blackwater Systems factory that had been built disregarding safety laws. The factory ended up being destroyed to cover up the illegal activities, and Siri, along with Ferus, barely arrived in time to rescue Obi-Wan and Anakin. Discovering that their quarry had already fled the planet, and before they could continue to follow the trail, they were recalled to Coruscant by Mace Windu. There were accusations being made by anti-Jedi faction and they were needed to help defend their Order.

It turned out that Omega, Zan Arbor and Teda had returned to the capital planet as well. They had plans to assassinate hundreds of senators and dignitaries. Siri and Ferus discovered what they thought was their hideout, calling on Obi-Wan and his apprentice to assist them in checking it out. There was nothing inside but three droidekas and a group of seeker droids, and no evidence of what they were planning. Later the assassination plot was discovered, and Siri, Obi-Wan, and Anakin went in hot pursuit of Teda, Zan Arbor and Omega, while Ferus remained behind to defend the senators and dignitaries from the assassin droids. In the end, Teda ended up dead, and Zan Arbor and Omega escaped once again.

Siri, Ferus, Obi-Wan, and Anakin, headed to Korriban, where the two criminals had been reported. This time, they were accompanied by Soara Antana, her Padawan Darra Thel-Tanis, Ry-Gaul, and his Padawan Tru Veld. Their investigation in Korriban’s capital city (Dreshdae) led them to Zan Arbor and Omega in the Valley of the Dark Lord, where they planned on meeting with the mysterious Sith Lord.

Veld’s lightsaber began to fail, and he switched with Ferus. When it failed entirely, Thel-Tanis rushed to the other Padwan’s aid, only to take a blaster shot from Omega. Omega fled for the meeting, followed closely by Obi-Wan and Anakin. When it was all over, Thel-Tanis was dead, Omega was dead at Obi-Wan’s hand, betrayed by the very Sith Lord he had gone to meet, and Zan Arbor escaped.

The death of Thel-Tanis caused Ferus to leave the Order. After his resignation, Siri never took another Padawan, choosing instead to work alone. She would, on occasion, work with the pilot Nym and his squadron, the Lok Revenants. They would eventually part ways, but not until after defeating the Trade Federation more than once. And even then, they would fight together again, alongside her former Master and other Jedi pilots (using the Delta-7 Aethersprite starfighters).

During the battle of Geonosis (around the time of the battle in the arena) Siri was introduced to the Galactic Republic’s brand new clone army and led a group of troopers alongside Gallia in an assault on a power plant that fueled the droid foundries in the surrounding area. They first excorted the Republic Assault ship Aken to the surface, with its thousands of clone troopers and Master Yoda himself aboard. Once they'd battled past Geonosian starfighters and the blockade of Trade Federation missile frigates they went down to the planet's surface to lead several LAAT/i gunships that were at their command to deploy the clone troopers near the plant. They defended their men on the ground and in the air from the Separatists forces, as the clone troopers made their way inside the plant and set explosives. Once the plant had been destroyed, they headed to space, where they guarded the republic transports and stopped Separatists transports from escaping. Together they engaged Cavik Toth’s Hex fleet, killing Toth in the process.

Following Geonosis, Siri went to Kamino to investigate the sighting of Slave-1 (Mace Windu had killed the owner, Jango Fett, early in the battle for Geonosis). She very nearly discovered his son, Boba Fett, while she was there, but he had prior warning and was able to avoid her.

Eventually she would reunite with Obi-Wan and Anakin, on a mission to Genian. That mission also reunited her with Talesan Fry, who she had met years ago. The Separatists were after a code-breaking mechanism that Talesan had invented. The reunions brought back memories of the past for her, and of the feelings she had for Obi-Wan. After convincing him to put the device in the hands of the Republic, they were attacked, by yet another blast from the past. Magus, the bounty hunter who had hounded them years ago and killed Talesan’s parents.

Talesan accompanied them (and Padmé) to Azure, where the Republic was fighting more Separatists. While Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Fry fought off Magus’ attack (Magus was working for the Corporate Alliance), Siri and Padmé took a fighter to go after Magus himself. Once they reached him, Siri took a huge leap from their craft, managing to land on his fighter. She broke into his ship and they fought, which lead to the star fighter crash landing on the planet

By the time the other Jedi found them, Padmé and Talesan had Magus at gun point, and Siri was fatally injured, having been shot by Magus before their arrival and further injured in the crash. She stopped Obi-Wan from attempting to save her, knowing that she was dying and not wanting him to leave her in a vain attempt to get bacta. She gave him the blue warming crystal she had from their first mission with Talesan. As she did so, she told him that she would always be with him, to not worry so much...

And then Siri died.

Personality: Siri is... many things personality-wise. Acutely intelligent and incredibly quick. As a child she was tomboyish, stubborn, feisty, impatient... headstrong. Tenacious. She was so incredibly determined and headstrong as an apprentice that it made it difficult for her to avoid combat, when she had the choice to. She had such focus and belief in herself that it made it difficult for her to work with others, believing, as she did, that she was strong enough to finish things on her own. She thought too much of her own abilities. As she grew older, that focus never changed, but she learned that wasn’t invincible. "I know now that I will not always be strong. I will not be afraid to recognize when I'm weak." She learned that it was all right to rely on other people, instead of charging off on her own. She found the balance between believing in herself and her abilities and overconfidence. That stubbornness, impatience, headstrong nature of hers... that all remained, but it was tempered. She grew a little bit less impatient, a little bit more prudent. Although, as Mace Windu pointed out, it was ‘a fault she has tried to correct, but one that often gets in her way’. She’s always geared for action.

There’s more depth to her than most people usually see; hidden under a layer of cool confidence. She once told Obi-Wan that she wondered if he expected her to have any feelings at all. Siri does, in fact. She simply doesn’t show always them (she’s always hidden them better than Obi-Wan), although those who know her well enough can sometimes pick up on them. And sometimes she can let them know what she’s feeling without speaking of them at all. But she’s never one to hide her feelings if she thinks it not necessary. She has no problem letting people know if she thinks an idea is ridiculous.

She’s incredibly sarcastic and witty (a definite deadpan snarker sort); bickering and bantering is a staple of communication with her. Even in the middle of a crisis, Siri’s always able to joke. The Council didn’t particularly appreciate the levity in the Council chambers.

One thing that never changed was her loyalty to the Jedi Order. She was, and remained until her death, fiercely loyal to the Order she’d sworn her life to. Her first conversation with Obi-Wan, where she called him a disgrace to Padawans because he was taking a leave of absence from the Order. That loyalty, that duty, was what enabled her to turn away from what she felt for Obi-Wan. There were regrets, but she felt that she had lived the life she wanted to live. The loss of their friendship, that closeness (becoming comrades, rather than close friends) was the largest of her regrets. Until they had a chance to mend that fence shortly before her death.

She’s picked up several habits that the Order would, no doubt, consider bad ones, due to her time spent on undercover missions (particularly the one to bring down Krayn’s slaving ring). She gained a more colourful vocabulary, with a tendency to swear more. And more... affectionate, in some ways; she’s comfortable making physical contact with others. She’s more restless, now, less inclined to listen whole-heartedly to the Council.

She enjoys being active, sparring and training and DOING something; it’s only gotten worse since her return from the mission with Krayn and the increase in her restlessness.

Something ELSE that’s been affected by her undercover mission with Krayn is her dislike of innocents being harmed. Having to watch it happen, having to participate in any fashion in it, didn’t sit well with her at all. She hated it, but she didn’t let that stop her from completing the mission. But she was thankful for the Force keeping her constant company, although she couldn’t openly use it.

So too, will her death and return to life affect her; it’s not exactly something that’s covered in the Order’s teachings. At all. And Luceti is definitely not becoming one with the Force. Because dealing with emotions beyond letting them go into the Force isn’t something taught by the Order, either. And if she can’t/finds it difficult to... well, it’ll take some work.

Strengths
Physical:

* Despite the fact that she’s two years younger than Obi-Wan, her lightsaber skills are almost on par with his; her abilities landed her in his classes at the Temple when they were Younglings/Padawans. She’s a skilled, graceful fight, quick on her feet, and has had training in all the forms; she doesn’t tend to prefer one over the other (although, due to her Master being Adi Gallia, she is quite familiar with Form V, Shien, with reverse grip or no, and she does use Form IV, Ataru, quite a lot). She’s a highly adaptable fighter, and will use which form suits best the fight at hand.

* Her training also covered the Jedi style of fighting hand to hand combat, and she was forced to learn a completely different style of fighting (more brawling, bar fight/less JEDI) style of fighting for while she was undercover with Krayn (because she couldn’t very well fight like a Jedi while undercover with a being who hated Jedi).

* Her piloting skills are top notch; even Anakin notes in narration that he hasn’t seen many Jedi approach the task as artfully as she does.

* The Force enhances all of her senses; smell, touch, taste, sound, and sight, as well as granting her enhanced strength, endurance, durability, reflexes, and agility.

* She’s 5’8, and while not built like a linebacker (or the Star Wars equivalent), or anything, she’s definitely athletic.

* She’s incredibly skilled at becoming someone else, even though she might thoroughly dislike the role. She spent years undercover with Krayn with him being none the wiser, until Anakin broke her cover. She slid into the role of Valadon with ease, playing the brazen, flirty, scantily clad identity thief to the hilt... until the actual Slams showed up on planet and everything went to hell.

* She can move things telekinetically, and, as Yoda says, size matters not. It depends on her (determination, focus, etc), rather than the size of the thing.

* She likes to be DOING things, which might be why she’s never been very good with patience exercises. This has gotten worse since the end of her undercover mission with Krayn.

Mental:

* Acutely intelligent, she’s able to think on her feet and adapt quickly after years of being sent on missions and spending several years undercover with Krayn, without anyone to rely on but herself (and the Force).

* She’s incredibly strong in the Force, although on a scale of one to Anakin as far as Force potential goes, she’s nowhere near Anakin-level.

* Her extraordinary sensitivity to Force warnings is something that came in incredibly useful during her missions with Master Adi; particularly during a joint mission with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan.

* She’s extremely good at using the Force to sense others. This includes sensing the emotional states of those around her.

* She’s skilled at the Jedi Mind Trick, although she doesn’t use it incredibly often. But she will when she has to.

* She has a tendency towards sass snarkery. Particularly in moments of tenseness. Even if it’s only briefly.

Emotional:

* Her integrity and courage is something that has been commented on, mentioned in narration by Obi-Wan as something he’d always been impressed by. She protected Anakin as much as she could while undercover with Krayn, even though it could have put her undercover mission at risk.

* She is fiercely loyal, to her fellow Jedi, to the Order itself. Even when they asked her to sever ties with them, and go undercover with a slaver in order to bring down his operation, she did so without question. When Obi-Wan realised that she hadn’t betrayed the Jedi, he uses her fierce commitment to the Order as something he should have remembered to realise it sooner.

* Tenacity is part of who she is; she doesn’t give up.

Weaknesses
Physical:

* Punctuality is incredibly difficult for her; she has a habit of strolling up into meetings several minutes after they’ve already started.

* As evidenced by her death, she’s still human, for all that the Force enhances her endurance, strength and agility. A blaster bolt at point blank range and or a ship crashing can do her in as much as it’ll do in anyone else. Jedi aren’t invincible.

Mental:

* She’s stubborn (very, VERY stubborn). And while she’s grown and learned a great many things since she first became a Padawan, it hasn’t changed her stubbornness any.

* She has no problem saying what’s exactly on her mind; what exactly she thinks of things. This got her into trouble as a Padawan from time to time. Particularly on the mission to Kegan.

* She no longer jumps in the way she did as a Padawan, but she still has a tendency towards being quicker to fight than most Jedi.

* Related to the above, she has a tendency to take risks in pursuit of things; mission objectives and the like. The largest of which ended in her death, when she leapt from the ship she was in the middle of piloting to the ship being piloted by Magus, carving her way through its hull while the thing was still flying, and then doing battle with the bounty hunter inside the ship. She succeeded in capturing him, but she was mortally wounded in the process.

* It’s been tempered by age and knowledge, but she’s still headstrong.

Emotional:

* Although she tries to deny it... she does have a habit towards forming attachments.

* She is impatient; she has ALWAYS been impatient, and age hasn’t changed that much, although it has helped to lessen it a little. Her Padawan learned more about being patient from Obi-Wan than he did Siri; learned to not irritated at being kept waiting and use it to his advantage.

* She’s not terribly good at being diplomatic; she would much rather just cut through the bullshit and get to the point. (Hence the above)

* Also related to the above, she also has no qualms about arguing and defending her point.

* She can be, on occasion, a little on the judgemental side. Granted, a lot of the time it ends up being towards obstacles towards her goals, but it doesn't change that she's a little bit judgemental. It ties closely into her tendency to speak her mind and say exactly what she thinks and her desire to just cut through bullshit and get to the point.

* Patience exercises are something she’s NEVER been very good at, and that only continued as she got older. It’s probably not helped by her innate restlessness, either.

* The Jedi Order doesn’t exactly teach healthy coping habits for things like emotions, just the control them and let them go into the Force methods, so she is ill-equipped to deal with them in any other way.

Anything else?: Nothing that I can think of! She’ll just be arriving with her lightsaber, unisuit, and related Jedi gear (i.e cloak and utility belt), but I have no problems with her finding them in the weapons/clothing shops after she arrives.

SAMPLES

First Person: [The wings have taken some getting used to. They had stopped aching a day after she’d arrived, but since she hadn’t had them at ALL before her arrival they still felt odd long after the pain had stopped. And unless becoming one with the Force is kriffing stranger than she had been led to believe... she hasn’t. And that has taken some getting used to, as well. The Order hadn’t covered... THIS, in its instruction. It hadn’t covered death and resurrection.

Because there isn’t supposed to be life after death. Not like this. She’s not a ghost and she’s not one with the Force. And what’s more, she knows people here. All of that has served to distract her from dealing with her death. Not that she minds. It’s bad enough she dreams about it. Dreams of fighting Magus, of the battle within the confines of his ship. The crash... and all that followed.

She needs SOMEthing to fill her time, to help continue to keep her preoccupied and too busy to think. To dwell on what happened. On what it means. On what she IS. So she makes a decision.]

I said I would never take another Padawan. And I’m not. Not entirely. Considering everything that’s happened... [Her death.] My abrupt arrival here. [The wings. And speaking of...] Gaining an extra set of appendages... Well, I need something to do. And I only know how to do one thing. To be one thing. [She has been other things, through necessity, for missions... but she’s always been a Jedi.] Which is why I’m offering to teach. To train those who wish to be trained.

[She sighs, brushing long blonde hair off her face.] Kriff, I can’t believe I’m doing this...

Third Person: Siri was more than a little relieved to be back in possession of her lightsaber. She’d felt a little bit lost without it, and even more like she’d LOST it. Which, she had, technically, she supposed. And technically she hadn’t, as well. But she’d found it in the weapons shop a few days after her arrival in Luceti, so it wasn’t lost any longer; and that was the important part.

She’d regained possession of her clothing, as well. Although the wing holes in the unisuit that she’d been wearing on Azure were... new. And useful. She had decent enough control over the wings themselves, now. But dressing herself with them was still a little awkward at times, and she suspected that the unisuit would be more awkward than most articles of clothing to try and put on. Kriff, it was frustrating, even if she knew, logically, that it made sense. She was learning how to work with completely new appendages. It was like she’d gone and grown a second set of arms; vestigial arms that didn’t do much beyond get in the way and get her stuck in tunics from time to time, but the idea was generally the same.

She was settling in well enough, it seemed. Having familiar faces there helped. But no matter how much she tried, there was no avoiding sleep entirely. The dreams of her death were less frequent, now, but she still woke in agony, gasping for breath more often than not, her back, and the scar on her chest where Magus shot her throbbing. Meditation didn’t help. Not as much as it should. Although she’d never been any good at patience exercises anyway. At least there was enough to keep her busy. Having something to DO seemed to help, and she’d taken to walking, exploring as much of Luceti as she could.
